Do we have to change our current software billing programs or install new software in order to conform with client guidelines?
No. You can maintain your current software billing programs and submit invoices in multiple formats. A sample format demonstrating necessary billing information is included in client guidelines.
How do we send invoices to Legalbill?
| Invoices can be sent via e-mail to Legalbill or uploaded to our secure webserver. Legalbill accepts multiple bill formats including LEDES 98, Text or Word documents, PDF or TIFF and zip files.
Paper invoices can also be mailed to Legalbill. |
What if we have questions on an invoice or the process?
We provide personalized service and assistance to our clients and their law firms. The staff at Legalbill is ready to assist you with any questions or concerns either by telephone or e-mail.
Does Legalbill receive any portion of adjustments to the law firm bill?
Legalbill does not receive any portion of adjustments on the law firm bill.
Who pays our invoices?
All invoices are paid by the client or its designee directly.
Do you use task-coding?
Legalbill’s methodology has the flexibility to use task-coding. However, our historical experience as well as law firm input, demonstrates that most time keepers required to use task coding limit their use to no more than six to ten code designations. This results in less-than-accurate descriptions of the work performed, negating any actionable use of the information contained in the invoice.
